Not Our Home.
We have become, and are still, like the scum of the world, the refuse of all things.1 Corinthians 4:13
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying arguments and all arrogance raised against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace. 1 Chronicles 29:15
In my previous blog post, “Not Part of This Creation,” I followed a line of thinking revealed by a rational but propagandized account of today’s world leaders (self-appointed and accepted as legitimate due to the common desire for the powers of extreme wealth) which raised certain limitations, seeming insurmountable problems, and questions about the ongoing usefulness of the world-system of recent decades/centuries. In it was an account of these newly recognized global leaders, masters of the market and hence high priests of the Market God (see my previous blog post “Worship at Christmastime 2021”). Their prescription and remedy for the world’s ills and evils requires a complete overhaul in the world-system for which the World Economic Forum (WEF) is the chief propagandist organization – see here. In order to rectify the inabilities, instabilities, and incapacities of the expired world-system, the WEF is conducting a massive campaign to persuade the world that a Great Reset must occur in order to give the global population what it needs in making the world-system more user-friendly for all and a reliable system for continuing to meet all basic consumer needs. The Great Reset of course is also the plan to ensure that everyone whose immune systems can work against the global test of the first of a series of bioweapon injections so that more precise targeting and “vaccine” distribution into the global population by lot (red state residents beware!) can be unleashed on the globe’s “useless eaters” (same as Hillary Clinton’s “deplorables”) so that the Extreme Wealthy Minuscule Few’s (EWMF) rights, privileges, and excesses are fully protected. Should we all not be very appreciative of their generosities?
Rather than a new world-system to be feared, they say, the new and improved world-system of a ‘Great Reset’ which has been conjured up by the Davos-crowd of international bankers and the EWMF should be welcomed with open arms, even as that crowd shivers with the fears and anxieties that the continuing exposure of the ‘fixes’ of the world-system will destroy their mechanisms of protection for their humongous assets. At least that propagandized account is what we are being led to believe is the present necessity for humanity, as confirmed by the endorsement ‘of many well-off and well-to-do Americans (of both “D” and “R” political monikers) and many if not most American corporate CEOs and corporate boards of directors. They have endorsed the worldwide processes in which we are being made subjects of the “necessary changes” in all levels of global, national, and local institutions so that the failures of the former world-system can be rectified.
The covid pandemic and the poisonous shot constitute the first phase for imposing the ‘necessary’ worldwide changes and the “Fourth Industrial Revolution” is the propagandized term for instituting the totalitarian global regime controlled by and for the chief benefits of the central bankers and their investment partners. So what’s so new in the 21st century? The capitalism of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) is the model for the new and ‘improved’ globally-integrated world-system. That model is now the preferred kind of capitalism for the entire world as it is the much ballyhooed model underscored by the WEF and its “stakeholders.” CCP capitalism – a kind of technocratic financial control of the globe’s social practices at the individual level controlled by macroeconomics …(not a ‘bottom-up’ capitalism based on individual freedom of choice but a ‘top-down’ monopolistic economic system that initially severely restricts and eventually removes all individual choice) …most favorable to the EWMF by totalitarian technocratic governance, has been covertly agreed to by the willing participation over the past 30 years by U.S. public-private officials. Since such government-corporate officials have been entrusted with American ‘democratic’ spending of public funds, they have seen ‘the writing on the wall’ – not with the supernatural hand of transcendent goodness and righteousness, but with the very practical and the this-world, hidden hand of the market of ‘free’ exchange and the demands of the Market God. That god has provided it own kind of prophecy to those closest to the center of the workings of the global market’s world-system – aka, Wall Street and Washington, for foretelling the end of American global hegemony and the rise of China as the next global leader and enforcer of the ‘free’ exchange market system (see my previous blog post “The Covid Criminal Conspirators as the Present (and Final?) ‘Tares’ of Modern History”). Hence, those ‘servants of democracy’ have seen to it that they have and will become the beneficiaries of the direct massive transfer of American wealth in US currency from the ‘democratic’ American world-system to the now-inspired ‘Great Reset’ of the WEF-imagined world-system for which CCP totalitarian capitalism is the model – see “The Missing Money”, In my generation’s youth, the criminal conspirators of today’s Covid Criminal Conspiracy would have been called “filthy capitalist pigs” (see ‘where they went’ - here). They are that and more so in their participation of crimes against humanity and more crimes to come.
Why does this matter for Biblical Christians when facing the Covid Criminal Conspiracy and its conspirators (the C3&c)? And how can and should a Biblical Christian respond? The answer is in the introductory Biblical verses which comprise the harsh but truthful Biblical explanation of life on earth before the second appearing of King Jesus. That reality is made clearer for those with eyes to see and ears to hear. It is and has always been: this is not our home. I heard recently the expression of an attitude that expressed the opposite view: this life and this world and its offerings must be valued and esteemed at all costs… even apparently at the risk of losing sight of the Biblical teaching that this life, whether it lasts for 80 years or 120 years, is not home for the child of God. Questioned on why he and his wife took the shot and their offering the shot to their children, his response was: “I’ve taken the shot because I’m pro-science, pro-technology, and pro-future.”
This “all-in” embrace of the world by love of the world and its system, to be fair, I don’t believe is the sum total philosophy of life for this man as he professes Jesus as Lord and is a believer in Christ Jesus. But if one thinks, as he does, that a skepticism and suspicion about the global covid crimes against humanity is just “conspiracy thinking” to be avoided at all costs, is this adamant refusal and denial of a thoughtful examination in prayer of the worldwide reports of health dangers and unified understanding of the agenda of the the EWMF world leaders and their handsomely paid proxies of total vaccination simply a personal mind game for managing one’s successful participation in the world-system? Can this attitude be anything other than reflection of a dismissal of the Biblical warning given in 1 John 2:15?
This fealty to the world is quite different from how another Biblical Christian faced the world and its corruptions faced by his society. “Enemy-occupied territory---that is what this world is. Christianity is the story of how the rightful king has landed, you might say landed in disguise, and is calling us to take part in a great campaign of sabotage.” This famous quote by CS Lewis was first given in one of his WW2 radio broadcasts, perhaps one of his last (see here) and later published as the book, Mere Christianity. (Surprisingly, it is reported that only one of the BBC broadcasts still remain – here. These broadcasts on the BBC were widely listened to by the British people during the bombing of London by the Germans). If one accepts Lewis’ view of how Biblical Christians today should view the globalized world and awaken to the Bible’s life-view, one’s suspicions about the covid extravaganza in its purposes are more than justified as suspicious deserving more examination and independent critical thinking. Is this just a personal matter irrelevant of true belief and walking in the light of Christ?
A close reading of Hebrews 9 raises some interesting insights for Biblical Christians facing the looming threats of masking children, of shot mandates to keep one’s employment, of having and not losing equal access to social events, and possibly of losing the equal, protected right to freely purchase goods and services. From John MacArthur’s Study Bible (1997), we are told that Hebrews 9 comprised the main appeal to a particular group of recipients of the original Epistle. That group was comprised of those who were “unbelievers who were attracted by the gospel and the person of Christ but who had reached no final conviction about Him” …they were not convinced of the gospel’s truth but with some exposure to it. (p. 1895-96) The Hebrews 9 group had grown up with the traditions, practices, and rituals of the Hebraic religion and the terms of engagement and the Roman Empire’s political and social strategy. The strategy involved tactics of assimilation of indigenous people to “Rome’s ways” – what was then the world-system of the day… certainly in the ‘Western’ part of the world. That world-system allowed God’s chosen people to practice their traditional religion while accommodating their lives, outlook, and expectations to more defined and limited restrictions and liberties – a strategy of that worked well for centuries in assimilation, syncretism, and unification of conquered populations to Rome’s edicts as the commanding process termed “Romanization.”
As secular history the writings of the Roman historian Tacitus are considered to be the most informed observations about the persecution of Christians under the Roman emperor Nero. Biblical scholars believe that the Book of Hebrews was written to encourage a Christian congregation that faced the assaults in the Neronian persecution in the mid to late 60s AD. So, it appears that the phrase “not part of this creation” was written specifically to a Christian congregation to trust in the Kingdom ways of Christ Jesus in spite of the commands of the Roman world-system. As the level of personal and social threats to those God worshipers rose in the Roman world-system, Hebrews 9 seeks to persuade believers of God to consider their loyalties… to whom and to whose ultimate care would they place their faith and trust: the changing world-system in its uncertainties and dangers or the eternal dominion “not made with human hands” where Christ Jesus has entered “once at the end of the ages …to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.”
The holy implements mentioned in Hebrews 9 can provide a connecting link for Biblical Christians today. A brief examination of their selection by the Lord God can be encouraging in the transforming, victorious power of faith over setbacks, temptations, challenges, sin, self, and Satan in the surrendered life of those called of God. This connection links the acts of complaints and rebellion in the lives of the people of God on journey from slavery to freedom, of Satan’s temptations of the Man/God in the wilderness, and of Jesus’ I AM pronouncements as the Redeemer/Savor of God’s people. (John 14:6).
What were the implements under the mercy seat of the ark, or the holy gilded box of earthen elements? There was a piece or wafer of the manna given by God for food to sustain the people in the entirety of the 40-year journey from Egyptian slavery (Ex. 16:33-35). There was the branch or rod of Aaron that had budded and over-night had produced ripe almonds (Nu. 17:8) as God’s choice and anointing of Aaron as the chief priest of God’s people. And there were the tablets of testimony, or the stone tablets on which the Ten Commandments were inscribed by the Lord God (Ex 25:16) which gave the moral, ethical, and spiritual law and commandments for God’s people. The manna was given supernaturally by the Lord to supply food for the people on their journey through the wilderness; it was given after the people had complained to Moses that food was scarce and they had left behind one of the few pleasures of their enslavement: meat. The rod of budded almonds represented the Lord’s supernatural intervention in the appointment of a chief priest who would act as the chief human intercessor before the Lord and judge in the resolution of disputes among the people. The stone tablets contained the supernatural inscription of the law of God in the Ten Commandments which gave instructions for the proper conduct among the people of God.
Because Jesus as the sacrificial lamb of the New Covenant was/is superior to the implements, the rituals, and the blood sacrifice of animals under the Old Covenant, the implements nevertheless were symbols of the greater revelation of “the good things to come” in Christ Jesus and His eternal kingdom. The entirety of the many meanings and sacred use of these symbols for the life of God’s people throughout history cannot be summarized here. But there are a few meanings we can grasp for today in this era of C3&c. The manna symbolized God’s gracious supernatural provision of food and quail meat supplied beyond human rationale and natural expectation, in spite of the presumed scarcity of food in the wilderness, an insurmountable problem to overcome. Our attention to the manna immediately brings to mind Jesus’ response to Satan’s first temptation: “Man(kind) does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” (Matt. 4:4) The budding rod symbolized the Lord’s acknowledgement of the need for order and headship for the people of God and that He would and had the capability to provide both. But the desire for such order and leadership for God’s people in the fallen world must be joined with humility by all of God’s people before the Lord God. In His response to Satan’s second wilderness temptation, Jesus quoted Scripture to correct Satan’s corrupted use of sacred Scripture by saying: “You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.” (Matt. 4:7) The stone tablets of the Ten Commandments symbolized the stable and unchanging ethical, moral, and spiritual foundations of God’s Sovereignty intended to be present and reflected in the life of God’s people: those foundations are His Righteousness and Justice before Whom Mercy and Truth are everlastingly present (Ps. 89:14). In his third temptation Satan attempted to entice Jesus - the Man/God, by a strategy of his presumptive pride and deceit by offering to Jesus what the devil rightfully was given temporary power and limited authority to do: assigning to Jesus for a limited time the final, constructed world of this creation as an urbane and technocratic utopia filled with satanic glory through corrupted men and women in exchange for Jesus’ worship of him. As the perfect Man and perfect Son of God, Jesus dismissed Satan by His fulfillment and saying of the first and most important commandment: “You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.”
A Biblical Christian may transparently see that by the same temptations Satan used in his temptations of Jesus, he is using today with the current generation of fallen and sinful world leaders. In creating a global false health crisis by the instrumentation and devices of scientific and technical means, the leaders of the corrupt world-system hope to transform the world and humanity by an imagined new, improved version of human beingness - transhumanism as the blend of biology and technology. This imagined gleaming and glistening future, for the Biblical Christian and God’s people, will be the satanic nightmare of a final corruption of humankind and the pinnacle of God’s creation by the obliteration of any distinction in this part of this creation between the things of God and the things of humankind. By the ultimate corruption of God’s creation purpose of a people after His own heart in the genetic and technical manipulation of transhumanism, Satan intends through human agents to bring heaven’s dominion down to the fallen corruption of the world’s realm in the world-system. The Biblical Christian can well discern and understand that this may understandably be the final intolerance for the long-patient and ever merciful Lord Almighty God. But for the sake of His beloved, the redeemed people of God, He will intervene again into the world-system in His wrathful vengeance toward sin and sinfulness, Satan, and the ultimate corruption of His creation (Nahum 1:2).
Finally, the I AM pronouncements by Jesus focus the victory of faith by the believer. As The Bread of Life (John 6), Christ Jesus provides to the Biblical Christian all the necessary ingredients for life in its completeness and fulfillment. As The Light of the World (John 8), Christ Jesus gives the Holy Spirit so that the believer doesn’t walk in the world’s darkness made subject to the dark forces unleashed by Satan and his workers of iniquity in the world-system; but in Christ the believer is given the light the Holy Spirit (1 John 1:6-7) to walk as He walked (1 John 2:6). As The Gate of the Sheepfold (John 10), Christ Jesus gives the believer the confidence in her/his entering and leaving through the sole access to truth, righteousness, and final security. As The Good Shepherd (John 10), Christ Jesus knows each and every sheep under His watchful care and protection and each believer knows and hears His voice. As The True Vine (John 15), Christ Jesus has a secure connection to each of His children by the Holy Spirit through whom His truth and righteousness flows as a testimony and witness to the world. As The Resurrection and the Life (John 11), Christ Jesus is the final victory over death, the final enemy to be overcome. And as The Way, The Truth, and The Life (John 14), Christ Jesus gives to the believer through the Holy Spirit the discipline of correction when missing the mark, the discernment of truth from error, and His blood and flesh to consume (John 6:53-36) for the newness of life in its fullness and for the journey to our true home with Him. Amen.
